Landscape Lighting Timer Recalibration

Lights that come on too early, shut off too late, or run all night are wasting energy and shortening your system's lifespan. Bright Arbor recalibrates transformer timers and photocells so your system runs exactly when it should and goes off the moment it should not.

Timer and Photocell Services We Provide

  • Manual dial and digital timer schedule reprogramming
  • Astronomical timer programming for automatic seasonal adjustment
  • Photocell sensitivity adjustment for consistent dusk-to-dawn triggering
  • Daylight saving time updates for systems without auto-DST
  • Photocell replacement when the sensor has failed entirely

Upgrading to an Astronomical Timer

If your transformer uses a standard interval timer, we can upgrade the timer module to an astronomical version that automatically adjusts on and off times based on the actual sunrise and sunset for your location. This eliminates the need to recalibrate each season and is significantly more energy efficient than photocell-only systems, which can trigger early on overcast days.

Central Florida Note

Florida has one of the widest daylight ranges in the continental US: roughly 11.5 hours of daylight in December and 13.5 hours in June. A static timer set in winter will run your lights two hours into daylight by summer. Florida's frequent afternoon storm clouds also trigger photocells hours before actual dusk, driving up electricity costs. An astronomical timer programmed to your zip code solves both problems permanently.
