Halogen to LED Landscape Lighting Conversion

Halogen landscape lighting uses three to four times more electricity than LED for the same light output, and the bulbs burn out every one to two years. Bright Arbor converts halogen systems to LED across Central Florida, delivering immediate energy savings, cooler-running fixtures, and bulbs that last a decade or more.

What Changes When You Switch to LED

  • Energy consumption drops 70 to 80 percent for the same zones
  • Bulb replacement cycles go from 1 year to 10 or more years
  • Fixture housing temperatures drop significantly, reducing fire risk near mulch
  • Color temperature is tunable to warm white (2700K) for a natural look
  • Lower wattage draw allows more fixtures per transformer zone

Our Conversion Process

We start by measuring the existing load on each transformer zone, then select LED replacements that match the beam spread and color temperature of your original halogen fixtures. Where existing fixtures can accept an LED module drop-in, we use that approach to preserve the housing. Where the housing itself has degraded, we replace it with a new LED-native unit. After conversion we rebalance all zones and update the transformer load settings.

Central Florida Note

Halogen fixtures run hot enough to scorch mulch in contact and attract insects during Central Florida's warm months. LED fixtures eliminate both issues. The lower heat output also means less thermal stress on wire connectors, which significantly reduces corrosion-related failures over time in Florida's humid conditions.
