Water Feature & Fountain Lighting
Water and light work together in ways that nothing else in a landscape does. A lit waterfall or fountain at night looks almost nothing like the same feature in daylight — it is more dramatic, more dynamic, and more the center of attention it deserves to be.
One operator. Same person designs, installs, and maintains your system. Not a subcontractor.
Custom design. Every plan is sketched on-site for your specific property.
Clean installs. Buried cable, hidden transformers, no exposed wiring.
What's Included
- IP68 submersible LED lighting
- Above-water waterfall and spillway accent
- Koi pond perimeter lighting
- Pondless waterfall and stream lighting
- Fountain basin illumination
- Underwater color-changing LED option
What It Costs
Includes IP68 submersible fixtures, all cable, and installation. Color-changing LED submersibles: add $200–$600 depending on count.
How It Works
- Water feature review — we assess the existing pump and filter setup, water depth, feature type (fountain, waterfall, koi pond, pondless), and the surrounding landscape to plan lighting that works with the water flow and movement.
- Submersible and above-water plan — most water features benefit from a combination: submersible lighting in the basin or pond for a glow from within, and directional accent lighting on waterfalls and spillways from above-water fixtures.
- Night aiming and color tuning — we position and aim all above-water fixtures at dusk. For color-changing submersibles, we program any scene presets before finishing.
Built for Florida Water Features
Florida's warm water temperatures accelerate algae growth around lighting fixtures — especially submersibles. We recommend low-heat LED submersibles (which produce significantly less heat than older halogen submersibles) and position them to minimize exposure to debris accumulation. IP68 rating is mandatory for submersible fixtures, not optional: the difference between IP65 and IP68 is sustained underwater immersion, and pool-level IP65 is insufficient. We also advise homeowners on basic fixture cleaning intervals that prevent algae buildup from degrading light output.
Why Choose Bright Arbor
We know the local conditions, plant palette, and municipal codes. That experience shows in every install.
Every fixture aimed after dark so you see exactly what you are getting before we finish. No surprises.
Brass and composite housings rated for Florida's UV and humidity. Built to last 15–20 years, not 3–5.
We stand behind every install. If something is not right in the first year, we come back and fix it.
