- Zone dimming: Each circuit's brightness level can be set independently and changed from the app at any time.
- Scene presets: Save different configurations for different occasions: entertaining mode, away mode, holiday mode.
- Remote access: Change schedules or turn zones on and off from anywhere.
Who should go smart
- Frequent travelers. The ability to adjust your home's lighting presence from anywhere is a genuine security benefit.
- Patio entertainers. Homeowners who regularly host outdoor gatherings benefit meaningfully from scene presets and zone dimming.
- Energy-conscious homeowners. Astronomical scheduling and zone dimming together can meaningfully reduce operating hours and output levels.
Who is fine with traditional
- Simple systems. A 10-fixture front yard installation with one zone doesn't need app control.
- Low-tech preference. For homeowners who want reliable outdoor lighting without learning a new app or managing Wi-Fi connectivity, a traditional transformer is a better fit.
- Budget-constrained installs. On a starter system where every dollar matters, a traditional transformer allocates more budget to fixture quality, which has a bigger impact on long-term performance.
